So it's been a pretty crazy last 12 months eh? Life is about a surreal as I've ever seen in my 35 years. Wrexit, Chump, this snap election.... dark times....

These tracks started off as a cathartic way of dealing with the burgeoning frustration and social unease i was feeling around me and sort of just moulded into what seemed to be a coherent package of intent. Loud, hard and subtly subverted it's more like a politipunk ep..... Not necessarily aimed at the dancefloor and just as suitable for a f**k the world late night walk with headphones. It's also a semi rebellion against the horrible over produced, excessively clean sound in modern dnb. The tracks that got me hooked all those years ago had a glorious crunch to them that i've been pining for.....but I've also tested them relentlessly over the last tour season and so here we are!

An EP that has a hard time sitting still; the beats and loops shake back and forth into varying degrees of speed and rhythm. Snare drums pound away like mad as synth textures scrape at the depths of the speakers. And while it has many moments of disarray, they are countered by moments of peace and serenity. The heavier tracks are brought in by smoother harmonies and pads, Mind Machine as a song is a perfect blend of these elements; the melodic and the aggressive. Sascha Z

The first track is somewhat educational, and i'm sure the album cover is a Dyson Sphere. Dangerous Idea is hard to listen to at first, but it's also exactly what a dangerous idea feels like. Immune System is my happy place ;) and the guy who's speaking in the sample sounds like Ballas in Warframe. What a shame tracks 12 & 13 aren't on the CD or vinyl. The best tracks are often excluded from physical releases, i wish that wasn't so. D: There are many phat rollers here, very good album! Naoki of Nihilo
